Yeah....... sure....... tears from the dust flying in your eyes because you were torque-ing it, flying by in the CLS with the windows down....
I just sold my 03 E500 too...
I was sad to see it go.. I enjoyed it for 2 years before I realized I'm not 40 years old yet and felt that something was missing... such as manual tranny... sound... hard ride... etc.
Although the only Gs that stand a chance of beating any 500 model Benz are boosted or charged Gs, a bone stock G35 6MT is a lot more fun to drive than the monster luxury Mercedes. Even more than AMGs. It's a shame that Mercedes do not offer manual gearbox like BMW on their high performance models. Superb cars if you're into performance luxury cars.
I almost got a 350Z after 2 years of owning the E500 and was becoming desperate for manual tranny but I couldn't step down to it from the E's interior, all because of the door panel on the Z was (still is) just crap. Hence the 05 G I currently drive... until GT-R shows face and steals my heart...
