SOCAL TINT REMOVAL place other than CALIFORNIA TINT

They are just way too busy all the time and I can't really coordinate leaving my car there the whole day on a weekday.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

just a little story about my california tint experience

i used to drive an rsx. got my tint done there. all 5 windows. they didnt know how to do dot matrix, so the back was crap. i didn't care as much because the tint only cost me $110.

one day i decided to get a 6k mcculloch hid kit. went to california tint. paid them for install. got home. opened the hood. install was pretty crappy. i had to relocate the ballasts myself. putting in hids for the rsx required a little custom work done to hold the bubls in place. they used a couple pieces of bent plastic to hold the bulb. i had to redo everything myself. when i took out the hid bulbs, i found that they swapped my mcculloch bulbs to xtec 8k bulbs. ever since, i never went back for anything.

with the g i went to protint to get my tint done, crap job as well. when i called in and asked if they had 3m tint, they said yes. i went there paid double what i would have paid at california tint and did not get 3m tint. instead of tinting the dot matrix correctly, they used a strip of vinyl to cover it. the vinyl strip was 3m as they claimed.

finally after some reasearch i found

Advance Auto Engineering
812 S Date Ave Ste B
Alhambra, CA 91803

(626) 284-8048

scott is the owner and does the work with 1 worker

they removed the old tint for me
put in real 3m

did the dot matrix correct, looks awesome

i got my tint removed last week because of a ticket but i'm planning to go back in a couple weeks to have everything done again.

the prices are a bit higher than california tint but its well worth it. quality and service is AWESOME.

if you go call in ahead of time to schedule. he removed all 5 windows in about 30 minutes and that was because he was tinting another car at the time. cost me $60 but like i said quality of service is the best.

if you decide to go in, tell him bo with the white g35 coupe sent you.

I do not recommend anyone go to california tint to install anything electrical... thats like going to a shop called "AUDIO FOR YOU" and asking them to install sway bars..

The quality on their tint has gotten alot better and make it clear to them to fill in the dot matrix.. they will do a good job (or at least they did on my car).. if you want perfect dots come back the fallowing day after the tint has dried and they'll squeeze out the last bubbles.. They do NOT use 3M, Vinyl, or Glue.. ONLY tint film and their solution... so removal is NP and hassle free..

Removing tint is easy just peel it off and use soapy water with a sharp razor blade to take off the dried solution

I've had 1 car done at california tint, and never went back.

If you can drive 30 miles, take your car to www.acutint.com (Montclair)

He's done most dealerships in that area, as well as police vehicles, and a few of Snoop Dogg's vehicles.

Cost around 170 for hybrid.

I need another tint shop referral. Oxnard, Camarillo, Rowland Heights area are all fine that can do re-tint on Sat.

I spoke to Peter at CA Tint he said he can't do strip & re-tint on Sat, only on weekdays. Only problem is that I work in Fullerton so I can't leave the car for them for a day on weekdays.... Eric, perhaps you can help?
