New G and Z Club organizing in the LA/OC area

Hello out there all you G and Z fans!

I would like to announce that I am forming a G35 and 350Z car club here in Orange County, California. If you are from Southern California, are within driving distance, and are looking for a good group of people who share the same interests and passions that you do for your G35 or 350Z then you might want to consider hanging with us Sunday April 29th @ 1PM where I will disclose our club charter and let you know exactly what we will be about.

The reason that I am organizing this club is the same reason you went to the Infiniti or Nissan dealership almost everyday to see if that model you wanted was still there with all the bells and whistles you were looking for...I love these cars! Also, I have been to various meet around OC, LA, and Riverside and I have to say there are a lot a great quality people out there who are just as enthusiastic as I am about their cars as I am mine so I thought, why not organize?

Now I know what most of you are thinking...what is the difference between me sharing my passion with others and car meets and being a member of a car club? To me the answer is simple. When you go to a meet, you hang out for few hours with some nice people that you may or may not see again. Now let's be honest, how many people are always at the meets writing down numbers trying to remember faces and who’s car belonged to which person, etc. Here you will know that the each member of the club, like you, not only shares the same level of passion that you do but also the same level of commitment.

Another aspect is the group buys that you see on the forums from time to time. I am planning to look into sponsorships, fund raising events, as well as prototyping for our members to help alleviate the costs and expenses that our passion can potentially cost us.

There is also the factor of camaraderie and networking with good people who are willing to help one another as well as taking part in charity work which will also be one of the goals of our club.

Of course, I will be looking into putting on car shows, competitive races, track days, rallies, cruises, as well as other activities that members can include their families in.

This organization will be built on a foundation of integrity, respect, and honor. A good reputation means everything, it the hardest thing to earn and the easiest thing to lose, which is why it should be of the utmost importance for each and every member to uphold the integrity of our club. To give you an idea of how serious I am about this club, once I have a list of committed members and the ground work for the club has been completed I will eventually have my attorney incorporate the club as a non-profit organization in order to protect its members from certain liabilities that we may potentially encounter.

If anything that I have stated sounds remotely interesting to you, please come out and take a look to see what we are all about. If you have friends who own a G35 or 350Z I would like to also welcome them to come spend a couple of hours with us Sunday April 29th @ 1pm. (Location TBA)

(Please note that this club is still in its infancy so any thoughts and suggestions are welcome. Also, if you have had previous club experience as a member or executive and are interested, please contact me directly at truman.chen@gmail.com, your expertise will be greatly appreciated.)

My intentions are not to have the largest quantity of members but to have the great qualities in its members.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and I look forward to meeting those of you interested on the 29th of April!

Kindest regards,

Truman Chen

I'll tell you what...at first all I wanted to do was keep it a G club. Then I went to a Z meet and thought...why not just keep it in the family? So I decided to to open it up to the Z community. But now come to think of it...I would be open to broadening the club to include all VQ's

If we have enough interest on the board and enough VQ cars show up that are neither G or Z, I will go ahead and open the club up to the VQ community. So if anyone out there is interested in being a part of something that is going to be great and a lot of fun, please speak up or just show up on the 29th this month.

All VQ's as in G's, Z's, and FX's, (probably even M's) would be awesome. Just make sure you don't go past that

Anything else, and you're going into distant territory

Even better, hearing the expression & comments of the PA.

I loved his last comment, "More Infiniti's! God, you just wouldnt expect them in the track. These things are fast; I Love these guys!"

That's what I recall. I was lined up, so I didnt hear anymore.
