My roommate is thinking about getting rid of his current car (99' Subaru Legacy GT) and wants to look for a 240sx. He used to have one with a CA18DET swap. He got rid of it when he moved across the country to LA. He would like to find a clean 240. Not too many mods if any at all. 5 speed trans, fast back (not the notch back or convert) and in good overall shape. Any year's would be looked into. He'd really like a 97/98 but of course they are more expensive. He'd like to keep it under $10,000 for a later model and maybe save some bucks and find an good 89-93 for under $5000. We are near Hollywood so the closer the better but willing to travel for the right car.

So if you got any leads on any for sale please post or message me. Of course we are watching autotrader, Craigslist, cars.com, etc for them so you don't have to post links to those. Are there any good general automotive forums for Los Angeles, not dealing with a specific car but just any enthusiast in the area?

If anyone is interested in a 1999 Subaru Legacy GT, silver / black leather, 5 speed, sunroof, limited 30th anniversary edition. Has dent in front drivers side fender. Needs brakes. Has check engine light on (suspecting a O2 sensor). I don't know a price yet but if you are interested let me know and I can give you his contact. This is locally in Los Angeles (near Hollywood).

Start looking on zilvia.net, that's the 240 board. I just got an 89 coupe a few months ago, clean title, clean interior, in running condition for $1400. Going to be starting the engine swap in a couple of weeks. Hardest part is finding one that doesn't have a salvaged title.
