Paint My Car???
hope they take the moldings off and take the hood and bumpers off to paint... it sounds like 1 a day paint and body to me.... Just mask and spray.
You need to put the right amount of coats of clear on that the paint requires or else it wont cure right.
the price your saying wont even cover paint cost.
Its a few hundos for a can of paint

a CORRECT paint job involves taking apart the car. Fender, Hood, Bumper Covers, Door covers, Trunk.. =\ I wouldnt do $800.. Most paint jobs are $2,500 cheap - $6,000. also depends on the shop.. if they mix their own paint then it'll be cheaper then a shop that buys their paint
For $1,000 it sounds like they're just going to mask off the moldings and spray ._.

^ double check man..
IMO the best bet is to find a shop that has their own paint mixer.. there are LOTS of shops that buy paint and after that no one will ever be able to match it again lol..
lastly checkout the quality of the cars they work on.. I know its weird but after working on ALOT of G35s let me tell you I know every single bolt from the look to the color of it.. and alot of cars out of bodyshops have some weird "replacments" if any.. IMO do a good search and find a bodyshop that knows what their doing and will be honest with you.
Example is my coloring and candying of my paint.. I originally spoke to a shop, Stangwerks in ontario (i think they moved.. they're now called Star motors or something in ElMonte..) the owners Eddie.. stay away from that shop.. the owner will promise countless things and honestly he cant even take apart the under panel without screwing something up.. vs the shop I go with now (creative autobody, san gabriel) if something cant be done they'll tell me no and all the prices are fair and i push ALOT of work through them.. all very happy with their quality.
Local shops I'd recommend (in no order)
Creative Autobody
- shop with their own paint mixer and very talented bodymen.. and they'll pay with fitment and they take very good care of your cars. they work on countless ferraris, lambos, and porcshe.. and no im not just saying this since all shops have worked on an exotic car.. lol if you stop by the shop you'll see a ferrari or porsche getting customized or repaired.. today 9-7-07 there is a red ferrari f430 in the shop right now getting ALOT of body work done.
M1/DTM if you know the guys
- very talented guys.. they've produced so many wonderful cars but their quality is =\ I've had both good and bad experiences with these guys.. alot more good then bad tho..
2020 City of Industry
- VERY VERY CLEAN SHOP and well organized always there to answer the phones to give me a status of my car.. an expensive price tag but IMO well worth it as the car is spotless and well put together as their shop upon pickup
the above three shops I've either had my car in there or sent a car in there before and I'd highly recommend them
