O's Family restaurtant use to be called Pat & Oscar's famous for the bread sticks there's a few in OC and SD. For around $45 you get unlimited bread stick, large salad, large pizza, half a chicken and a slab of ribs. GREAT FOOD!

Their thai style duck with a coconut type of sauce is what I usually get but I mainly go for the happy hour. Pretty much everything in that plaza is good. Ichi ichi for that hot pot, bcd tofu house, tastea for boba and gatten sushi are good places also

Sorry. This thread is way too long for me to read each post to see if the following faves have been mentioned already.

“American”: Sandy’s at the pier in Huntington Beach. It’s probably $20-$30/person with an appetizer or too. Order their Skillet Corn Bread!!! It is tough to beat their view of the beach, pier, beach volleyball and passersby from the ample size patio. Sandy’s is the place to bring out of town guests or clients.

Burgers: 25 Degrees, Downtown Huntington Beach. Can you guess I live in HB? It is generally a fun, energetic place. Build your own gourmet burgers or pick from a list. I have brought many people there and they come away very impressed with the quality of meat.

Mexican: Javier’s in Crystal Cove. Great margaritas! Great salsa!. Great food! And great interior design/lighting (for O.C.). I would only knock the sizable quantity of ultra-entitled people who frequent the place. But it is Crystal Cove and can be quite amusing. Get there ahead of your reservation and sip margaritas in the cool patio!!

Indian: Saagar Fine Cuisine of India, Newport Beach (Close to John Wayne Airport, really). A freestanding (not in a strip mall) Indian restaurant in O.C. is hard to find. Better than average décor. Truly delectable food.
