Ok looks good..........for after-market bumpers I need someone in the area to stop by and let them measure..........ANYONE?

The company that responded quickly and has been in contact has been:

Star Shield Armor

Contact: Jeanne St. Gaudens

626.813.0299

626.813.0399 fax

1.866-no.chips

www.starshieldarmor.com

Also........

AMPLIFIED MOTORSPORT

Would match there prices and come out to do installations!!!

They use the following: FILM DESIGN, XPEL, AND INVISIBLE PATTERNS

Talking thru the G37 forum.......

As soon as we get the front bumper price we can all put in our orders..........Any other questions? Does anyone have a preference on which company to use???

OK......sorry for the delay wanted to talk to Jason......

Talked to Jason @ http://www.aerotect.net/aerotect_015.htm and he explained to me why they wouldn't be able to lower there price........they cover a lot more than other companies do so from that aspect I understand why there price is higher.

Talked to friends and they have heard good stuff about Aero Tect and they are a forum sponsor.

We would be in good hands from talking to Jason........

PLEASE EVERYONE GIVE ME YOUR FEED BACK..........FOR THOSE THAT WANT THIS NOW CALL JASON AND LET HIM KNOW YOUR PART OF THE GROUP BUY ON THE FORUM.........

KEEP IN MIND IF WE GO ELSE WHERE WE NEED 20...........

Josh,

I came across your thread on the nsx forum, and am interested in having this done; I am interested in having my front bumper and headlights done (2002+ nsx), the concern I have with the mainstream films, eg 3M, etc., is I have shaved my tow hook cover, emblem, and two bumper bolt covers - on the precut 3M tape these are cutouts for these items, so there would be several seams on my paint. If your vendor is the one actually cutting the film, they can simply opt to not cut out these items, for a clean look.

With regard to star shield armor... there was a white nsx at our monthly SCA meeting with this film applied, and it had yellowed to a horrible degree - it looked really bad. I am not sure if this was because it was left in the sun, etc., but as somebody who parks outside, if this were the eventual result of their film, I would not want it done to my car - it made the car look almost beige under the film, and was very noticeable. If your vendor is offering to install an alternative film I would be interested, but not with the starshield product.

On nsxprime you posted a link to aerotect.net, is this the vendor who the groupbuy is being negotiated with? What film do they use, their own in-house product? Also, do they offer mobile installation?

I have fresh paint (as of 4 weeks ago), and have driven the car only locally since, so I would prefer mobile installation... I think, if I had to drive to La Verne for installation (aerotect's location), I would likely pickup several rock chips in my attempt to prevent them.

If you could post details about the service being offered, the type of film being used, and a price for my installation (2002+ nsx, front bumper and headlights) it would be appreciated.

Regards,

John
