toyota transmission

totally unrelated to the G, but my gf's 1998 toyota automatic transmission is messin up. when you gas it, it lags and revs, then launches with a jerk. the other gears are the same too just not as bad. she's got 120k+ on the odo.

I think she needs a transmission rebuild. she tells me all her fluids were changed about 4 months ago.

Does anyone have any experience with toyota dealerships or shops? much appreciated.

PM Gotyamahas his name is Peter... real nice guy... he's a Toyota service tech. Yeah, he's a trader but he brought a G to the race track so that makes him a good guy

But really, he's a nice guy and maybe he can help.

Have you tried a used japanese transmission from a Japanese engine/transmission import place?

I installed a used transmission in my sister car toyota corolla and it went 60000+ miles till she sold it. We know the new owners and they have 30000 on it. Usually auto trans. last a pretty long time.

I also helped install a used trans in a nissan maxima and it is still going (about 20,000 miles so far).
