Recommend a shop for me.........
Recommend a shop for me.........
I have 115,000 on my 2003 Coupe. I started taking the subway from North Hollywood to work so this will substantially reduce the amount I drive the car. I have a number of issues with it that I would like to take care of and not have to worry about. It's payed off and with no need for a daily driver, I'd be more than happy to keep driving the coupe.
So I would like to have shops recommended to me that can take care of the following items, preferably in or near the SF Valley. No way I'm taking it to the dealer for all this stuff.............
1.) Driver side window. I already replaced the motor once when it was under warranty. It doesn't work. Anyone know how difficult this is to do myself?
2.) Brakes and rotors. I need both the rears and the fronts. I've done the brakes myself multiple times and am contemplating attempting the rotors if its not too difficult. But I'd prefer to find a shop where I could buy the rotors and brakes myself and have them install it at a not outrageous fee.
3.) Alignment..........I have issues with my handling, and I think its the alignment, but its possible the wheel bearings or something else is wrong. I know this stuff is not cheap and I am more interested in a competent and honest place moreso than price. Hopefully the alignment solves the issue, but if not, I need someone to look into why the handling is off.
4.) Burning smell. I get a very faint burning smell when I turn the car off. It is hard to detect, and goes away after about 5-10 seconds. This has been happening for about 1500 miles. I need to know a shop that can look into this.
Like I said, SF Valley is best. But I am willing to drive if there is a shop that is well respected and will have decent prices on most of this stuff.
