try using less then half a bottle per tire next time.

don't get me wrong, the shine is great. i barely needed any and the shine was already intense. regardless, most gels are going to spit once you take the car out for a drive.

I never experienced this with Armor All.

Did with bunch of other gels (mothers, eagle one, meguiars)

I always use MF after I apply gel on the tire.

Excellent tip, that would help get rid of any excess.

I get all my detail stuff from the guy that supplies detailers. Just call up your local detailer and ask them who they get their supplies from. The quality is way better than the stuff from stores. I use AutoMagic for all my stuff from waxes, polishes, soap concentrates, tire dressing, degreasers, etc.

Adam's Polishes (they specialize in detail kits); by far the best stuff I've EVER used.. All water-based, won't eat up your tires from any hidden alcohol.
Leaves a perfect shine.

I myself use 303 Aerospace protectant, Meguairs edurance Meguairs hot shine tire gels. I like the matte finish 303 aerospace leaves. But before I put on any tire shine, I make sure I clean the tire first.

For over the counter stuff, I prefer:

Water Based: Mothers Reflections Tire Shine (Matte finish, gets glossier with more applications. Spray onto sponge or tire swipe and apply)

Oil Based: Meguiars Endurance (Apply a little bit to a damp sponge or damp tire swipe and wipe on, a little goes a long way)
