wow that's totally uncool of the friend... a real friend would have wanted her to be surprised and totally get in on it.

Take her on a Private Hot Air balloon Ride, they’ll serve you champagne or in your case sparkling cider and a picnic basket with appetizers.

Don't let a ruined surprise ruin a potentially fun day/night out. Talk to her and see what she thinks. No matter how you look at it, the element of surprise is already gone. Even if you plan something else, she'll know you're trying to do something.

The whole idea of a surprise is to not let her suspect anything. If she suspects, she'll find out. Women are evil like that
I agree, now that she knows the deal, you might as well still take her to Disneyland. I know my GF would be upset if I didn't go through with the original plan because someone opened there fat mouth. Maybe just change the gift to a COACH purse or something, just make sure it's signature with the C's on it, chicks dig those. Good luck man, as long as it's from the heart that's all that matters.

On the serious note

Do this.

Do nothing ON THE DAY OF YOUR GIRLFRIENDS BIRTHDAY

She's gonna get all iffy and WTFish
Then next day after THE DAY OF YOUR GIRLFRIENDS BIRTHDAY do same thing you wanted to do.

It'll be surprise all over again.

I do this all the time to my wife. But I usually forget everything on the next day and end up not doing anything at all.

My wife hates me.

Its pretty cool that a guy can look to his fellow G owners for support not pertaining to cars.
