both cutting and rolling have their potential issues, but rolling is more popular.

wouldn't cutting still leaf an edge for the tire to get cut from? Wouldnt rolling the fender be better for the tires sidewall???

Not sure, just wondering...

With cutting, isn't the main concern rust? I know it doesn't too often in socal but when it does, wouldn't that be an issue? The fenders would come in contact with a lot of rain.

Do they treat the fender with anything after they cut it?

given that the whole purpose of cutting fenders is to avoid tires rubbing against them, this shouldn't be an issue. but of course, it does happen every now and then to some people.

i cut my fenders, have no gaps between my tires and fenders, and have never rubbed. -1.5 camber, 285/35 tires, 10.5 +25 wheels.

don't forget that epithelial tissie is easier to cut than tires...
