It's like that at all dealerships. Learn to do the simple stuff yourself. Anything out of warranty...find an independent shop that specializes in Japanese imports or Nissans.

For instance....the in cabin air filter....Miller Infiniti charges $100-120 for this. Their "special" is $80. You can get an OEM filter on ebay for $10 shipped. It takes 10 minutes to install and requires removing 1 screw and a couple plastic thingys. If you have trouble, there is a DIY video posted on you tube where they go through the entire process.

This stupid thing takes a mechanic at the dealership 5 minutes to do. Yet they charge $50 for the filter and $30-70 for the 5 minutes of labor. Yay!

Another example was the window motor. My window motor on the driver side went out. I got a motor for a steal price of $20 on ebay. Normally its $150 or so. Miller wanted $550 for this. I read about how to replace it and did it myself. I have no mechanic skills or aptitude. But it really was not difficult and took me about 2 hours.

So Miller $550 for two hours labor. Yay!

Or do it my self....$20.
