i was close to the 110/10 interchange and a car swerved into my lane and hit the area above my left front wheel, its pretty damaged and dented... at first i thought it was a dark colored nissan, but when i got into the light, it was ornage rub off paint.. i called 911 as soon as i found a shoulder and pulled over, but i was on the 10 at this point and the other car took off in the 110. i called 911 and the dispatcher said they'll put a notice out for the car, but that if i wanted to file a report for insurance i needed to go to the chp office monday mornign to file a report.

any suggestions on what i should do? i have all state as my insurance.. would my insurance go up if i file this as a claim for my insurance?

this was around 1:30 - 1:45 on the 10/110 interchange, i called 911 at 1:45

i don't believe your insurance would go up from a hit and run, being that it wasn't your fault, though i'm not 100% sure.

not much left to do as for searching for the idiot that ran off..

as for shops, there's plenty of body shops that do reputable work, especially if it's simply replacing/respraying stock parts

i pulled over and called 911 right after the accident and told them it looked like a dark older nissan, maybe a 300 or 240. but when i got home, it was actually orange paint :-\

just left a voicemail w/ my insurance agent :\

called my insurance and its not going up. looks like the fender needs to be replaced, the door buffed out, and fixing the front bumper, i'd like to be abel to get it replaced if possible though.
