Question is it effective to repair by reattaching the black plastic protector strip on the underside front bumper or should it be replaced. It looks like it is fastened to the bumper by several bolts and the plastic strip is not torn but has been pulled off the bumper. I drove over a curb and when I back away, the black plastic protector strip was partially pulled off the right front. Experiences and opinions appreciated/thank you

 

I don't even have one...not because I don't want it. But because my bumper was modified in a way where it is not possible to install.
