Re: So Cal's Best Beach?

Zuma is a great beach for a meet. Also Huntington would be nice, just parking can be a real headache. Zuma's payed parking doesn't fill up very often. There's a couple of other beaches out in the Malibu area that are less known therefore less crouded. Just let me know what area everyone would be more interested in and I'll see what we can do. I'll prolly be early to the meet where ever it may be just to get a surf session in before hand.

P.S.
For those who care. I drive a Silver Sedan 6MT CA license plate "KRZ HAYN" = "Krazy Hawaiian". A "Shaka" is always welcome.

Re: So Cal's Best Beach?

I'm down with Zuma, I was just there last night. It's beautiful and the canyons are right there. We could bbq or there are places to get food near by. That said, I'd come down to Huntington Beach too.

Kawika of course you want to get some surf in! what would you day be if you didnt....Let me know if you want help setting anything up. And if anyone wants i can map out some of the canyons up there or suggest which ones to run. up there 3 times a week just cruisin around. (stunt to las flores is a nice run) depends on how many people we have and who wants to get ballzy!!!!!

Smokestacks? I thought that was in Manhatten Beach. My friends go surfing there a lot.

Re: So Cal's Best Beach?

There are smoke stacks everywhere in the south beach area. Redondo has a power plant, further up north you will find a water treatment plant, and another large building...

I heard they are going to decommission the power plant in Redondo/King Harbor and put in an outdoor mall like the promenade in Santa Monica...I can only dream...meanwhile it blocks my view from my apartment...

Any way, I would say any of the beaches mentioned are far nicer than the manhattan/hermosa/redondo areas. Parking is too crazy...

Re: So Cal's Best Beach?

so now its down to Newport (pier) and Huntington (pier)...
these 2 are great beaches because theres plenty of places to eat, lots of parking spaces, and a lot of people go here...

i forgot, did we set up a date for this?? and was it gonna be a BBQ, fire-pit deal... something to think about...

Re: So Cal's Best Beach?

I was thinking June 20th? I think Huntington (pier) might be a good idea?
