Front Tint & License Plate Ticket = Court Appearance?
So I went to the local police department today to see how long I had to take care of my ticket. For some reason the lady at the PD said that I had to appear in court. My ticket had 2 citations, one for front license plate (marked fixable) and the tint (marked unfixable?). I asked the lady at the PD why I had to appear in court, and most people just had to correct the citations. She said it was kind of odd and agreed that most people just made the corrections and had the ticket signed off (but she said there was nothing she could do about the court date). The lady at the PD also said that they have to write down the court info (just in case I wanted to fight the ticket?). Has anyone had this problem? I then went to the traffic/ticket window at the courthouse and the lady there also said that I had to appear in front of the judge and there was nothing she could do except give me an extension. So tomorrow I have to go to the CHP office and talk to them about it, maybe the officer that cited me made a mistake?

both are correctable. Get proof of correction, go to court and the clerk will dismiss your case.
I recently went through something similar, and I have all the CVC's and documents you'll need if you even need to fight it (which you won't).
Proof of correction is free with the CHP.
They are not making mistakes; they do it on purpose in an attempt to stick it to you. They know better than that.
