Below are some of the variables that caculate your insurance quote:

Coverage
Age
Sex
Car
Color
Driving Record
Accident History
Zip Code

Credit score, marital status and insurance history can also be factors for premium rates.

FWIW I pay $158/mo for full coverage on both of my vehicles. I have 1 citation, single male, 30 years old.

Get a policy with a parent. Parent as primary and have your name included in the policy, i saved a lot this way.

Teen Insurance....?

By being on the same policy with your parents that will save you a bundle.
Have your parents call there insurance company and inquire about cost, then
you'll get the answer you need.

Actually you wont end up paying more for both persons on the car. You would pay a lot more by yourself (since your a teen?) then with a parent. Just have a parent get a quote with their current insurance and include your name for the G. Some cases may be different depending on your parents driving history.

parents driving history is good.
i think it would be way cheaper if they just buy the car and have it under their name and i can just be a added driver on the car.

Factor in:

age
vehicle
driving record
zip code
distance to commute to work/school
amount of coverage for liability, e.g. 15/30/5 or 100/300/50, etc.
deductible - 250, 500, 1000

Just call and get a quote. Asking what other people are paying isn't going to give you any real ideas since everyone's is going to have different answers.

BTW, if you paid more than 15K for your ride, I would suggest you get full coverage. Just getting liability and uninsured motorist is great, but what if your car caught on fire, or you were parked overnight and some bastard decides to hit your car and take off? Or God forbid you get into an accident and it's your fault? You're screwed.
