Sorry if this question sounds a little noobish, but I haven't been keeping up with this Iphone fad.

My question is that if I get an Iphone, can I get it without the internet service? I know I know, why not just get an itouch, right? i just think that its one less thing to carry around in my pocket.

Also, are there any places in socal that you guys would recommend that would hook me up? My contract is up with ATT and I'm wondering what kind of deals I can get if i sign up for another two years (ugh). I know those (asian) cell phone stores used to give out great deals a while ago, but i haven't been to those stores in a while (been doing everything online nowadays).

 

to my knowledge the internet is optional. but why you would get a smart phone, such as an iphone, without internet is what i'm wondeirng....

 

If you plan on going through AT&T, you have to get the Data Plan ($30) for two years. It's part of the contract. You'll have to buy it at full price and jailbreak it.

 

As Ljn_728 said above, you need to sign up for the data plan if you want a better price on the iphone. I was just wondering if anyone knows a place that can give me a better deal for renewing my contract.

Its just for convinence. Rather than carrying my phone and ipod, I can just carry one...the iphone. i have enough things to carry around as it is.

Ahhh I wasn't aware that ATT made you get the plan. I've got an unlocked phone from tmobile... and I pay $5 for internet a month

 

just buy a used one, without the plan, or buy one from craigslist and no contract needed!!! plus if u need unlock service. lmk!
