FORGET JACKSON TELLING ARIZA TO FOUL!... I WAS SCREAMING FOUL. lol
I mean it's not common sense. It's hard to tell when the guy's going to swing over and throw the ball up. So it's hard in the sense to tell WHEN to foul. However, he had to keep in mind that it's Iguadola that has the ball.. and the play was ran as an isolation. If he's going to drive and kick.. then assume he has to make his move around the 4 second mark. Anything past that then you know he's going up for the J. so around the 3.5 second mark he had to be thinking, "This fool's gonna go up for the win." Then take the initiative to foul ANYTIME prior to the shot. Ariza technically had about 1.5 seconds to foul (which doesn't seem like a lot.. but it is when the game's on the line

It was just a low basketball IQ move on Ariza's part. He will learn... remember, we're still (ugh... as much as it pains me to say it) #2 in the entire league with tie breaker wins over the top two in the East. It's a tough loss to swallow, but if I think about it too much it will ruin my day.
