As I recall, drifting on those 20's isn't easy,,,,,,,, or cheap. Tires cost me about $500.00 each! Besides, my wife will be keeping a close eye on me. I'll be on kind of a probation. Just think about it though, I'll have a good driver record for the last 2 1/2 years.

O.K., it wasn't quite the "hit the road buddy, you're clear to drive" I was looking for, but he didn't say I couldn't drive. I told him of the episode in December and he said (basically) around June is when I could drive. Given the fact that the DMV was never brought into the fold, he said at this point he really couldn't tell me I couldn't drive. So my wife let me drive the van to our son's school. She did drive us home of course though. We wouldn't want me driving with the kids in the car until I've had a good and clear record (maybe 2-3 years ). So now I'll have to see if she'll give me my keys to the G back. So, the next meet I might be by myself . Any other news and I'll keep you all up to date.

Later,

Ray

Congrats on the good news! In no time, you'll be walking out the door with the G keys in your hands and not even giving it a second thought!

She's hiding them somewhere, I know it!
I'll get them though. I think she's just being cautious and I love her for that . It's just 2 weeks until June 5th. And that is exactly 6 months from the last (VERY minor) episode. I'm already planning things I need to do,,,,,,,, get my dry cleaning, pick up some light bulbs for the Kia's fog lights (I can't locate H-8 bulbs!) and various other tings I don't like to burden her with. It will be a big relief for the whole family.

Thanks again for all the support guys, it means a lot.

Just give it time and you will be back at the wheel..one of my former employees ended up having seizures due to the tape worm in her brain..she is back to not having any episodes in almost 2 years.

Well, here's the update.

I drove to work solo today!!!
Thing is, I was so nervous driving by myself . I was still shaking a little when I got into my office. I was also very excited and sent an E-mail to my employees and coworkers telling them to "Clear the road!" . I guess I'll have to work myself back into driving on my own. You should have seen me this weekend when my wife and I drove to San Diego for the Nine Inch Nails concert. My wife said I looked wierd and pale while driving on the car pool lanes. You gotta remember that I haven't driven in two and a half years , and by myself today. Any way, I'll try to make it to the next Chino Hills meet if I can.

WOW.... POWER to you bro..

glad to hear a fellow G member is back on the road..

give it time.. its like riding a bicycle after not riding it since you were little..

give it time and you will get used to things again..

i remember when i had my truck and i started driving the G.. its so much lower and i cant see as far.. and the side mirrors would tripp me out..

now im good...

now i feel weird when i drive a big as$ truck.. lol

just hang in there and take slow.. dont try to jump with a broken leg.. let it heal and skip as you go.. lol
