Purchasing a G35 Sedan
Purchasing a G35 Sedan
Hi Guys,
Wellz my parents finally are buying me a new car. Right now I'm driving a BMW 525i 1991 and its a nice car, kinda big, under powered, but has the really really magical bmw handling. But the car has a lot of problems as has been quite a money hogg. So now I convinced them to let me get the G35. I know the new 2005 are going to be redesigned and more powerful, but I don't really care about the 05 I just want a really good deal on the car. Basically I want a G35 sedan black with black interior, 6mt and the aero kit. I really have no idea how much this is going to run me but I wanna wait till the end of the year to get it, so I get the best possible price. Now my question is where do you guys recommend to go get my new g? Metro Infinite is near me, but they won't give me any discounts at all...I already went down to talk to them. I don't really care about a long drive. I just wanna get my G at a great price.
Thanks for all your help!

Re: Purchasing a G35 Sedan
We have black on black and it's HOT during the summer. Unless you're planning on getting a tint, it's better if you just go for a lighter color. And the sedan AC is weak in the back seat so it gets hot when your car is black on black. And black is hard to clean, looks dirty a day after being washed. It's hard to handle.
Re: Purchasing a G35 Sedan
dont listen to him... i bought a black sedan and its awesome.. but you do need tint.. and a sunshade =)
anyhow.. if you dont plan on sellling the car anytime soon (ie next 5 or 6 years) and dont care that the 05's will look different.. i suggest you get an 03.5 model.. they have very few differences from the 04 models and im sure you can get a killer deal.. i got my 03.5 in april of 2004 and i got 2500 below invoice.. so.. with the 05's out now.. im sure you can get a good deal for the 03's.. check out mission viejo infiniti and ask for jim camilleri.. hes a great guy and can hook you up on a good deal.. especially if youre not getting an 05

Well no matter what I do...I'll get tint installed a few days after I get my car. You guys know any good places? In So Cal?
Can you guys tell me the differences between the 2003 and 2004? Does the 2003 come with an MT? No right? Only the 04 comes with the manuel...Also I don't like the back of the 03 how it has that huge rectangluar infinite logo...but if it saves me money I might go for it. I'm also looking at the white ... omg it looks nice...
Ahgahpeh...how much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? And can you post some pictures?

Re: Purchasing a G35 Sedan
Sounds like you're only interested in MT models ...
In that case, you'd have to stick with 03.5 and after, which do not have the trunk design you disliked. You wanting one w. FULL aero kit from the factory maybe problematic ... as that is already a rare combo in itself, especially when limiting yourself to black on black, MT, etc. The only sure way to get them was to special order, however, production runs for the '04s have stopped. New orders placed will be for the '05 and those no longer required Aero kits, as the fascia is completely different. Your best option would be to get a pre-'05 at a deep discount minus the Aero Kit, in light of the new '05s coming in Oct/Dec time frame. The Aero kit could be purchased on the side and installed ... they are not cheap however!
Look to use the Costco or AAA fleet discount program. They save you a lot of time and effort.
Good Luck,

Well...personally I want the MT model....my dad begs to differ...but if I can get the MT model...then I'll be very happy...I don't really care about color...I'd like the black or silver or white...they all are nice...Yea if I can't get the aero kit installed...then its ok....I heard that the dealership can actually install if for you...is that true?
What is the costco or AAA fleet discount program?
Thanks

Re: Purchasing a G35 Sedan
Yup ... the FULL Aero kit pieces has been made available through the dealer as accessories some months back. They'll be more than happy to install them for you ... be prepare to pay pretty bux for them, however.
If you are members of either Costco or AAA, then you qualify for the fleet discount rate. Find a dealer that pariciaptes in either of the above programs and state you qualify and is interested in such. The cost of the vehicle is sold at a predetermined price. For the MTs ... they were ~ $800 above invoice cost.

Hmm...I heard the aero kits were dropping in price due to the fact they won't fit on the new 05 models and now the dealers have to get rid of them or something. Not sure...were I heard this...maybe I'm wrong...If anyone can clear it up thanks!
Fleet discount sounds cool.....I'm a member of costco and AAA...You think they will give me double discount? LOL probably not huh?
BTW its damn hard to find the 03.5 models in so cal...I've been looking online all over the place...and I can't find out where they have any...short of calling all the dealership I'm really stumped...and I won't be purchasing until probably november december when the 05 models start to come out and they need to drop the prices of the 04. I hope then I can get a MT and a great deal and this discount you guys talk about.
Thanks for your help guys
OH anyone wanna teach me a few bargining tricks to make the dealers lower their prices?
