DJ needed for wedding

I'm getting married in March 2010 and was wondering if anyone on here has any experience DJing at weddings. It would be for about 6 hours (approximately 10am-4pm) You would need to bring your own equipment and also do the MCing for the reception part.

If anyone on here has experience with this or can refer me to someone, that would be great. Please PM me or respond to this thread. Thanks!

Congrats Peggy! I have buddies that DJ but I'm not so sure about the MCing part. PM if you have no luck.. Any particular type of music you and the fiance are looking for? That should be a part of your decision as well and hopefully the DJ you choose will have a wide variety of music to play.

Burningman is for hippies, or at least it's mainly populated with hippies. Plus it wouldn't be a safe place for a hemophiliac. No hospitals for hours.
I've been spinning poi for almost 3 years now. I performed at my best friend's wedding reception party as well. Yes I'm serious

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'll definitely look into each of them (not sure about the fire dancing, but thanks anyways! )

I'll also need someone who can put together a mix of songs for the slideshow. I have an idea of which songs I want...I just need someone who can put it all together and make it flow nicely in a certain amount of time.

Thanks Allan! The music during the ceremony will be pretty traditional (wedding march, etc). I want slow songs to be played during lunch and mostly hip hop to be played during the reception...none of that cheesy, YMCA stuff
