Re: Los Angeles!

Haemi, what's up!? Do you have your PM's set to off? I've sent you a couple asking what the best time you ran last time we went to LACR was.

I heard you were doing 15.3's at the beginning of the day when I was only managing 15.5's. Only difference between our cars is the JWT popcharger, you've got the 17" wheels and your engine is more broken in. (If that matters much.. I had 1700 on the odometer when we went.) How were you launching? I just remembered, you were in the staging lanes with your AC on and radio waaay up.. haha! Maybe that helped!

Re: Los Angeles!

I didn't get a 15.1 until later at night when it cooled down and Randy suggested that I take off my engine cover. ;> I'm just still wondering whether or not to get a popcharger or nismo CAI.

Re: Los Angeles!

Nutty,

LACR is here and I'm probably going with my SC'ed friend next Wed if you're interested. It's $15 to run all night. PM me if you're interested.

BTW, clutches are fine!

Re: Los Angeles!

After inspection, make a left. Then, go straight, not right where the first small road is. . . that is the return lane. The staging lanes are straight ahead past what looks to be just a parking lot.

Re: Los Angeles!

YES. Take off on the third yellow...shift at 6700...do not drop the hammer on launch, but rather, feather until you hook up. Don't say NO to anyone who wants to race, even if you know/think you'll lose...you'd be surprised. Do not expect to get into the 14's tonight. Not saying you won't, but don't be upset if you don't. LACR is not the best track, condition wise, and the elevation kills you. Also, be sure to open your hood between runs to cool your engine. Try to run twice and wait 15 or 20 minutes, then run two more times...gives your engine time to recoupe. Good luck and feel free to call me from the track with any other questions. 310.818.1875 cell

Re: Los Angeles!

Thanks for the info Randy. It really helped. I had tons of fun. I ran a 15.43 @ just over 92 mph my first time out. My best time was 15.27 @ just over 93 mph. I averaged about 15.3 My reaction time needs some work....although I did forget to turn off my VDC a couple of times...that really sucked...but still won. No one asked me to race. I was the only G35 there. My only loss was to a turbo Supra by 0.6 sec.

Thanx again for the info. I can't make it on the 4th but I'm sure I'll make it to the track with the rest of u guys b4 u leave.
