Could other Socalers recommend a tint shop and clear bra installer close to long beach if possible.

For my clear bra install, I had Daniel Cook from Transparent Bra.com do it. He did a great job, so I would recommend him to you. You can try calling him at: 310.613.4671. He came by my house to do my install [I'm located in Torrance, so Long Beach is probably doable for him too]. You can use my name as a reference - Jonathan.

For my Huper Optik tinting, I used Song's Tintmasters who did a great install. They are located up in Los Angeles though, so not sure if you want to travel to them. You can contact them at 323.732.9100, and ask for Hann or Jay.

 

Ditto on the clear bra. Daniel did a great job on my car.

Just curious what this guy charged you all for the clear bra install? I was quoted today $375 (materials + install) for the bumper, hood and mirrors. Is that a good deal?

I am going to Auto Recon in Lake Forrest - i've heard a lot of good things about this shop.

Your right 375 is for one kit, either the bumper or hood but not both as your post suggested.

 

$700 to protect the front is a little pricey, I can get my bumper painted 5 times for that price.

That is what I am thinking as well. Problem is rock chips will not only affect the bumper but also the hood so I dont think I could the front of the car painted that many times. Atleast not a quality paint job. Also you will have to live with looking at the rock chips until you get it painted.

 

ya...i've been quoted for 600 dollars...so maybe you can talk them down =)
