SoCal Rant

When someone has something for sale and they say they are located in SoCal", Why can't they just state what city they are in? Especially if your post says "Local only", "pick up only", "No Shipping", etc. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO KNOW WHERE LOCAL IS IF YOU DON'T POST WHAT CITY YOU ARE IN?!!?!

Usually the next question goes: "Where in SoCal?"

SoCal is a pretty big area. Bigger than some states.

Southern California, or SoCal, is defined as the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Its population centers around three major metropolitan areas, each of which have over 3 million people; the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area with over 12 million inhabitants, the San Bernardino-Riverside Metropolitan Area with over 4 million inhabitants, and the San Diego Metropolitan Area with over 3 million inhabitants.
End of rant.

Don't get me started about SoCal traffic...

Those bastards who use the Carpool and fast lane as their own personal slow lane doing 35mph should be shot.

ROFL. A slow carpool lane is the least of my worries when it comes to SoCal traffic.

I hear ya, but if I said located in Ladera Ranch would you know where that is? Im willing to bet your next question would be...and where is that?

A generalization works because if you are located in SoCal chances are you can drive there to pick up the bigger/expensive items to ship. Just my .02

you can basically get anywhere in So Cal within 100 miles... so if buyer/seller meet half way (even at farthest distance) its only 50 miles... generally much less. Way easier than shipping imo.

Besides, if you find something you want, just ask the seller what city... not hard to do.
