8/21/04 Hotchkis Sway Bar Install Meet
Re: 8/21/04 Hotchkis Sway Bar Install Meet
You should have called one of the guys we had 2 extra sways in the garage waiting for a new owner. Kia brought 3 sets of sways hoping he could sell the other 2 to a fellow G member.

Re: 8/21/04 Hotchkis Sway Bar Install Meet
The install was 50% succesful out of 4 cars 2 was done. Kia's car was the first victim, I mean customer. That didn't go very well because of one stupid nut that wouldn't come off. We got so frustrated with it we slapped everything back on and went with the second install. Zach's car went pretty well it still took a couple of hours but we got it in. Then the third car Tim we couldn't do because of his Borla exhaust. Just didn't have the proper tools for it. Then Rich's car was the last install which went smooth even with his Greddy exhaust. Damn that was a long day the starbucks at the end of the install was good call to rest some achey muscles. That was pretty cool having about 12 G's parked in front of the house. Thanks again for all who went and contributed to the day.

Fellas!
I just want to say that it was great to meet you guys today.
I can honestly say that every single one of you guys were about as cool as my car! =)
Glenn, thank you for being so hospitable, I don't remember who brought the carne asada, but it was kick ***. Mark, thanks for the Kbbq ribs, they were bomb as well.
Randy, thanks for the tech help, don't worry I won't forget about the s/c. I hope to better the 4300 hundie price tag.
x your fingers. =)
Also, I enjoyed talking to your bro, very cool kat.
I wanted to chill with you guys longer, but the "guilt" was kickin' in overdrive.
Anyway, I'm gonna stop here because I'm afraid that this is starting to sound like a diary or some foo foo *****.
I'll be sending out my info to everyone that gave me there's this evening.
Once again, big ups to Glenn and Randy and it really was great meeting a really cool crew.
Hope to hang with you guys very soon.
Many regards,
D.
p.s.
I mentioned to the fellas that I have the hook ups on parts, (hopefully the one's that you guys are interested in)
Just hit me up if you guys are looking for anything in particular.

Damn, what a great Saturday! First off, thank you Glenn for hosting us. Your garage was perfect and that motion sensor paper towel dispenser is awesome!! Mark, the Korean BBQ was delicious. You should be the official "SoCal G35 Cook" lmao. Cool kids as well btw, I didn't think they would last the whole day without getting bored. Thanks to everyone who helped out (Rich and Randy's friend for those hard-to-get-to bolts) and Glenn for the how-to on installing them.
I say we do this more often; what's the next mod guys? Maybe I can host the next "Wrench Day." We'll see.... later fella's

Sorry I couldn't go there, some guests came to the house and I am the hospitality manager. Also, my front tire is so worn on the shoulder that I am afraid to drive it anywhere. It's been garaged for the past 4 days until I find new tires.

Re: 8/21/04 Hotchkis Sway Bar Install Meet
damn you and your xtra large pics. im on 56k for 1 more week.
as for the plate cam, its a chrome crimestopper plate cam. its actually the same cam that avelectronics is outsourcing. theirs is flat black. i cant find the site i purchased from and searching on 56k is a chore. but the going price should be no more than 220-230 + shipping.
and for those interested in the v1 mount, youre in luck =)

yeah it was great meeting all you guys and i had a wonderful time!
Glenn, thanks for letting us use your house and tools for the meet! It sucks about my nut, i dont know why it had to be so tight... I also appreciate the looooong drive we took to find replacement parts and tools. BTW, im gonna order the parts and my dad said i could use his garage any weekday and work with the mechanics to replace the sways! So hopefully they will be on B4 the HB meet!
Rich, glad to hear your sways got installed! How do they handle?? Now I need to sell the other pair! (($262.5 for anyone interested))
Randy, nice to meet you and your brother! I read that youre moving to Texas??? That sucks, but I wish you the best!
Randy's bro (sorry, dont think i got your name), you coming to any future meets? I'll be sure to have my mom make salad-olovieh for you some time!! Haha... Nice tats BTW, and it was nice to chat with you!
Mark, your kids are the bomb!!! Your son knows more about cars than all of us combined! Just make sure he doesnt install a "ricer" spoiler on your car! Hahaha...
Everyone else, it was great meeting you guys and I look forward to seeing you all at future meets. Good luck with your sways and drive safe...
PS: pics will be on asap...

Thanks Glenn and Rosie for the hospitality and letting us (and my kids) stomp through your house.
Glenn, sorry about my kids running the car jack into your driver's side front fender and scraping the paint. I feel pretty terrible about it - Let me know the estimate to get that fixed up... I'd be more than happy to pay for it...By the way, I hope you guys really enjoyed hanging out with my kids, because that was the last time you'll ever see them (minor accident).... JUST KIDDING!!!! =P
It was cool meeting up with all of you guys (some for the first time)... I haven't had that much fun for that length of time on a Saturday in a while... definitely need to do it again, but throw in a cruise/caravan to some location... Glenn, hook us up with those "twisties" you were telling us about....
Randy - You're a JACKHOLE! hehehe. It was awesome hanging out with you and your bro; thanks for chillin with my kiddies and keeping them out of trouble (most of the time....heheh). BTW, I'm checking with my co-worker about the Vortech SC... I'll get back to you as soon as I know.
It was cool hanging out and learning what not to do when installing sway bars... VERY educational.... heheh
Thanks everyone for the food, carne asada, drinks, the Strawberry Cheesecake (Gerry, did you bring that? If so, that was the BOMB.... thanks).
Good times had by all....
Glenn, if that guy in the white RSX flies by again, revving his engine, just let me know and tell him I got a little sumthin sumthin for him.... muahahahaha.....
Take it easy and see you all in HB next Sat....
Mark (and the kiddies - Jarryd and Kayla)
