Im thinking it might be fun to cruise through Ojai and wind up on the coast to have lunch. Then after lunch, head south and have dinner somewhere near the beach.

We'd have to leave OC area by 9 or 10am. Meet any Valley people at the 5/126 interchage around 10:30-11am.

here's my intended route:

5n to 126w to 33n to 166w. This will drop us off somewhere near Santa Maria. From there, we could head south to Santa Barbara for lunch and hang out in SB until the afternoon. We can then stay on the 101 south to Topanga Canyon and run through there before we hit Malibu. If we get there(Malibu) early enough, I'm sure there's a few who would love to play somemore volleyball. Dinner can be somewhere in Malibu.
or even the 3rd Street promenade in Santa Monica.

the other option would be:

5n to 126w to 101n to 154n. Stop at Lake Cachuma and have a picnic there, then relax for a bit until we head through Solvang. Then we pick up the 101 and do the 101, Topanga, Malibu, Santa Monica thing.

Im up for closer. There's a bunch of nice roads to Julian (Julian Pie Company) and into parts of the desert.

I think Malibu would be perfect. Nice beach, dine at Santa Monica pier, tons of mountain roads with great views. Just remember don't go crazy on those 2 lane cliff hanging roads. I get my share of thrill just going 5-10mph over the speed limit.

mulholland to Yerba Buna
yerba buna to PCH
PCH to latigo canyon
latigo to kanan
kanan back to 101

CHP was heavy on mulholland and stunt.

I just looked it up on Mapquest and it seem like Santa Maria is about 3 hour drive from us South LA people and probably a lot worse if there is traffic around LA area. Malibu is about 1:30 away with some traffic and it's right next to Mulholland and Santa Monica pier...... Just a suggestion. I don't think I can go if it's at Santa Maria though, the fiance wouldn't like that too much. Malibu would be alright, since she can go shopping and drive around Sunset Blvd again.

(We should cruise through Sunset Blvd to LA )
