I was browsing through the Map out of pure boredom..... and found there are some decent twisties going up to the Hollywood sign in Griffith Park Los Angeles. Does anyone know whether or not those roads are actually accessible? Would be great to cruise up there and snap a few pictures.

Funny you mention this! I was just up there yesterday cruising the roads up to the sign and looking at open houses. The roads are too narrow to do any cruising or running of any kind. To give you an idea of how bad it is, I had to reverse my car and park on the side everytime a car was coming from the oncoming direction.

 

bleh, no good then. haha. I have ended up on dirt road on several occassions just picking up roads from the NAV and driving there. Guess this is another one of those roads. Thanks for the heads up.

In general it is really a death wish to drive fast one these roads, even the 2 lane ones. Bennedict Canyon for example is filled with rich idiots driving way to fast during am and pm rush hours. Stick to the canyons between Agoura Hills and Malibu and you will be fine.
