Might as well just post here instead of pming everyone lol.

For the meet, I just applied by hand Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant followed by Meguires NXT 2.0 wax. I typically don't use over-the-counter polishes/waxes, but the meguires wax actually works pretty well and wipes off really easy.

Full exterior detail I do 2-3 times a year (kills my back and arms..):

- Nice wash with dishwashing soap to remove existing wax/sealant.
- Dry body panels.
- Claybar entire car with Clay Magic light grade clay bar (medium grade if necessary). For lube I use a mixture of ONR and water.
- Rinse off car.
- Completely dry car.
- Polish by sections with Menzerna Super Intensive Polish w/orange pad.
- Follow up with Menzerna Super Finish Nano Polish w/white pad.
- Wipe off car with 50/50 mixture of rubbing alcohol and water to remove polish residue.
- I used to use Poorboys World EX-P Sealant, but now I use Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant w/blue pad.
- Follow up with Poorboys World Natty's Blue Paste Wax by hand. Not as easy to remove than the Meguires wax, but it lasts longer and looks better.
- Finally, go over the whole car with detailing spray.
- Stoners Invisible Glass for the windows.
- OPT Metal Polish for the exhaust.
- I have Chemical Guys Diablo Gel Rim and Wheel cleaner, but I haven't used it yet... so far I've just used Poorboys World Wheel Sealant on my VS-XX.
- Meguires xtreme tire shine for the tires (I think that's what it's called).
- 303 Aerospace Protectant for the black rubber trimmings.
- Poorboys World Leather Stuff for the interior leather and trimmings.
- For regular washes I use Meguires Gold Class wash.

I use a Porter Cable 7424 random orbital buffer w/4" & 6" Lake Country pads. Two sheepskin wash mitts to wash using two-bucket method w/grit guards. I polish, seal, wax my headlights & tail lights using all the same products as with the rest of the car. I "free-flow" the water to rinse the car off after soap (makes the water sheet off, making it MUCH easier to dry). I use three waffle weave drying towels (I highly recommend them) from detailed image. I use only microfiber towels for everything else.

I took these pics the very first time I polished my car using Menzerna Intensive Polish and Menzerna Final Polish II with the PC 7424 (no sealant or wax yet):

Before ~

After~

Everything I used I bought from detailedimage.com (sponsor on here), except for the meguires wax and microfiber towels.

I accept paypal donations for typing all this up and spilling my secrets!

Wow. I didnt know there was so much involved. I just wash and rinse. And sometimes wax when I feel like it. OB is so hard to maintain properly.

great write up! i may try a few of those products.

i will admit... having black roof is a PITA. i hate seeing crap dust on there. Brilliant Silver looks good even dirty from far away but black paint just looks trashy dirty (no offense to OB ppl im just realizing how much of a pain in the azz it is).

Fab thanks for the writeup I was just with jayk at the gym parking lot complaining how my car is already dirty. And yes we brought your car up again, thank you for the black hole of sexiness recipe. I will definitely use it to attempt to make my car as black as your liquid black hole of glass black sexiness.

LOL Rob! No problem guys. It's a crap load of work doing the full detail, but regular washes aren't that bad. Or at least, I don't mind washing it weekly, since I hate seeing it dirty lol.
