Since we totaled our Nissan S14 drift car at Formula D Finals at Irwindale Speedway last Sunday, I have been debating whether to build a Nissan 350Z or an Infiniti G35 as our next drift car. I will probably start this project in about a week or two. What do you guys think?

I think the 350Z is inherently lighter, but a G35C would be different, kind of like Nomuken's ER34. Besides, builting a race car, the weight difference between the two might not be as dramatic. Take out the G35C rear seats & sound damping, it might be the same weight as the Z.. There are already too many 350Z drift cars around. As far as I know nobody has a drifting V35 anywhere in the world yet, so if you built one, it'll be instantly famous. The longer wheelbase on the G35C might make drifting the car easier as well.....

I would LOOOOOOOVE to see a drifting G35C.

I agree, building a V35 drift car will be unique, and I think the gobs of torque and long wheelbase will just lend itself to making the car a good drifter.

Excellent suggestion.............a <font color=red>Sedan</font color=red> if it would work. Roman, I don't think you will hear any negative feedback or imput from this forum, as long as you don't go with the Z. Keep us posted on the progress[img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]

The sedan would also be a good idea, but mechanically and structurally the coupe is closer to the 350Z. This will make the coupe more mod friendly and you'll be able to find more aftermarket parts for the coupe/z with slight or no modifications. Just a suggestion because not many companies are builting G35 sedan parts, but 350Z/G35C there are tons.

Okay... So here is the deal. I will be building a G35 Coupe Drift car. This is going to be 1 of 2 new drift cars that we at Falken will be building. I can't give you guys details right now, but all I can say is that this project is going to be SICK!!!

How much bribe do you need to built a Caribbean Blue G35C drift car? You know something, I think Falken just became my favorite tire company. Forget the Pilot Sports, what do you recommend, roman? I'd do anything to put some Falken stickers on my car. hahahahaha

btw: Anyway we can sponsor some money to put a G35Driver sticker on that race car? I'll donate!
