Anybody been to Hearst Castle?

Looking to take a trip down there, is it about 4 hrs drive from LA?
Some input info please...

4:30 hours is a decent estimate assuming at least one stop along the way. Do yourself a favor and swing by Paso Robles and/or the wineries outside of Santa Barbara on your way back to LA.

Btw, if you're planning to tour the castle, see if you can book tickets online. They have 5 or 6 different tours, but the intro tours fill up quick on the weekend.

Hearst Castle is cool, I've been there twice in the past few years. See if you can stay in Cambria over night, there are some nice spots on the beach on Moonstone Drive.

Definitely buy your tickets online, they sell out in advance.
