The bad news is you were broken into, the good news the LAPD bothered to take prints and are looking at vids. It's still something your insurance should cover....sorry bout this. There's something said about being able to keep your ride in a garage, locked up so no one will f... with it!

I know at my last command, if your caught stealing, the higher up would turn there back and let you beat some sense into the guy.

Not in jail, but I figure the police (and myself) could use the internets help in finding these ********. Maybe the detectives on 4chan can help.

This is the part I can't believe - the cops actually took prints? They are making an effort to catch them? GTFO! - LOL

How in the Hell did you get them to act like they even gave a ****? My experiences with break-ins have been like Gammawolf's - "well, you know we probably won't catch them, but keep your eyes open... here is a file # for your records".

we have them on video, busting in to the front door, roaming aimlessly through the halls, and looking into other people's cars,

It's odd. A WeHo sheriff deputy came over, wrote up a report and said they would call with a case #. Then the crime lab came and took prints about 3 hours later. I haven't gotten a case number yet.
