Laz y Boy stores have pretty good selections on sofas.

I bought a sofa from them a couple years ago, but I don't think they had any tables.

Yeah, if you don't mind really cheaply made stuff...theres lots of places in West LA, and a few in No Ho and City of Industry.

It's basically the only way to make your place look nice for a low price. But the stuff is not made well. If you are low impact, it will last. But if you don't give a #$^ and don't take care of the items, they will break or get beat up pretty good. Ikea, Ashley etc are basically the same quality, so you're still saving money. Its just not top quality stuff. If you have kids, I would never recommend you go this route. If you want modern upscale looking stuff for very cheap, go for it.

These are the guys I bought from as they had the cheapest prices:

http://www.capricefurniture.com/

Keep in mind:

1.) Their customer service skills are beyond crap. They speak some sort of middle eastern or eastern european accent and are basically the equivalent of those "USA Prime Credit, Peggy speaking!" Russian guy commercials. This will not change, they will not be nice to you, and they will not follow up and stuff. Literally, they operate on volume and sell so many furniture sets that they could care less if they sell to you or not. It will feel like you are doing them a favor by buying from them.

2.) There is little recourse if your furniture sucks. Their showroom is ridiculously small and they only have a few items there. Basically you order straight from the catalogue. Which leads me to point number 3....

3.) Make damn sure you pay extra to have the stuff delivered AND assembled. Trust me, it would be a PAIN to do this yourself. Even though you CAN do it, it won't be worth it. Have their guys assemble it, watch while they do, and inspect everything closely when they are done.

4.) Couches do not cheap out too much. I did and regreat it. The couch actually looks great. But its not very comfortable and I wish I had spend $100-200 more and got one that was more plush, deeper, and more luxurious.

5.) Check out the reviews on Yelp and decide if its for you. Basically people love them or hate them.

Depends on what kind of budget you have... We have some furniture from BiF, Italian leather ish that lasts forever..... and we've also bought stuff at Ashley, which is cheaper than BIF and has pretty good styling too.

If you just need cheap furniture to last you 2-3 yrs, IKEA! I bought a sofa for $300 there and it lasted surprisingly well. Just dont get the suuuper cheap stuff like the Klippan sofa, the foam wears really fast and your butt will end up resting on the beam. *ouch*

I've bought a bed and couch from this place called Air Dream Mattresses in Rosemead:
3266 Rosemead Boulevard
El Monte, CA 91731-2807

They have decent looking furniture for low prices, but I would only recommend it if you don't have kids jumping up and down on them all day. They tailor the fabric in the building, so you can customize the colors however you want.

Pampa in Pasadena on Lake & Del Mar. Talk to Tamera (she's young, other person is older) and let her know Levon sent ya. She may not be the one doing the sales though. They have great stuff over there.
