Ok this is how it went down.

A guy posted my wheels up for sale on my350z, but DIDN'T steal my rims. He bought them off of the guy who actually stole them. He bought them about a week ago from a guy off of graigslist. The guy who bought them off of the guy who stole my rims still has the name, number and storage unit address of the guy who stole my rims. Waizz/Staff from my350z and a friend of mine acted as potential buyers (I didn't want to PM the guy because my screen name over on my350z is IP350GT so I knew this would blow my cover because if this was the guy who actually stole my rims he would be spooked away) starting this morning trying to get information out of this guy because at the time we didn't know if this was the guy who stole my rims, or just a just a guy who bought them off of the guy who had stolen them. I alerted staff on Driver as well. Then Marcus just straight out asked him...hey you know those are stolen wheels right? where did you get those? and he also told the guy about my Rims Stolen threads on my350z, on here, etc. So my local police department and I meet up with the guy at his house around 6:30 tonight, verified that they were mine, and I left with my ****!!

A BIG thankyou goes out to Waizz for helping with getting information, etc. Also a Big thank you goes out to the guys who noticed the for sale thread and posted it on my350z. And a BIG thank you to Marcus for sending some information my way and the detectives way.

Of course. the guy who bought my wheels from the actual guy who stole my rims still has his name, number, and address of the storage unit they met up at. The cops are definitely gonna go after this guy.

Wow. I am glad to hear you got them back. Any news as to what is going to happen to the thief? Isn't that a felony?

Well they are gonna go after him for sure. The guy who bought the wheels off the guy who actually stole them of of my car still has his name, number, and address of the storage unit of the guy. The cops told me that they are definitely gonna go after this guy. He committed a felony because of the dollar amount of my wheels, tires, etc.
