Beating a ticket ? NO RADAR

I was pulled over for speeding and the ticketing officer said i was doing 50 on a 30!? He was on the side of the road in a patrol car with his engine off i suppose, as i passed him it took him atleast 30 seconds to turn on his car and pull up behind me after making a right at a stop sign ( so he wasnt estimating my speed by tailing me) I asked him how he got this number of speed and he said he estimated this. As he was writing the ticket he had to walk back down the street i pulled off of and corrected him self saying it WAS NOT a 30 mph it was a 25 ! So he is a new sheriff in Villa Park. On the ticket there is no check mark next to radar or laser. As he was finishing up he told me speeding kills and I swear to you not i replied what Jeremy Clarkson said

All i got back was his poker face....................

CAN I WIN THIS BECAUSE HE DID NOT CATCH ME WITH A RADAR AND WAS ESTIMATING MY SPEED

I've had my fair share of speeding tickets; tickets for 5-10mph over, and tickets for 45-50 mph over (when I was younger), and ALWAYS got the lecture about how dangerous speeding is. I think every situation is different and sometime the "speeder" deserves the ticket and, sometimes, as the rumor goes, the end of the month, cops are trying to meet their "quota." In any case, I found this link that may give you some insight:

http://www.lawfirms.com/resources/cr...ing-ticket.htm

When you go to court, be sure you're prepared. As the defendant of a traffic ticket, you have to prove your innocence. "Guilty until proven innocent" per se.

And in no way am I condoning speeding.

Good luck, be safe.

Take it to court.. they will throw it out.. I don't think it will stand up.. The judge will ask the officer to show some type of proof that you were speeding. I have beat a ticket like that before because the officer didn't have anything to show that I was speeding.. BUT I ALSO WAS PREPARED TO ARGUE my case..

Like dude said schedule your court date far off.

This the way it works in palm beach county (florida)

take the ticket to the court house.. wait on day 28 to take it.. (they give u 30 days).
Then tell them u want a saturday court date.. That date will be 30 to 60 days from then.
The judge will ask how do u plea. Tell the judge u want to goto court (trial). That is another 30 to 60 days..
IT's A GOOD CHANCE THE OFFICER WILL NOT SHOW UP (CUZ HE FORGOT, ON VACATION OR JUST NOT SHOW UP)

BUT MAKE SURE U ARE READY JUST IN CASE HE DOES SHOW UP.. TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING ON THE STREET, HAVE DIAGRAMS ETC..

Just my 3 cent, but if u loose u will have to pay court cost and the ticket
