Place in SoCal to demo TVs and/or projectors

I'm in the market for a new setup. I've got my living room prepped for a projector but now I'm debating if I should get a 3D or just stick with 2D. I've never watched a 3D movie at the theaters or on blu-ray, so I'd like to check it out (would like to check out 3D sports as well). I went to Best Buy in Cerritos. Turned out to be futile. The rep assigned to the Magnolia area admitted to me she's usually stationed at the appliances Can someone recommend another retailer (or another Best Buy) in the area that I can visit that has decent setups and has helpful/knowledgable sales people? I'm in the North OC area.

There are two more best buys that I would try. One is located on Imperial and Harbor in Fullerton. And the other is located in Fullerton as well on Orangethorpe and Harbor.

it really depends on your budget...and how big of screen you want too. If your looking into getting a front projection and projector setup, best buy is the worst place to go. In terms of TV's, tv's are pretty advanced now, long as you buy a name brand TV there all pretty much the same.

For projectors it really depends on your budget. For a entry level setup, you can go with a stewart screen and maybe a epson, panasonic or sony projector. Those projectors offer 2d and active 3d setups so you can switch between the two.

Just got back from the BB on Orangethorpe and Harbor, they don't have Magnolia area, but at least their 3D demos where working, well, 2 or the 4 were working. I got a better idea what 3D looks like with active and passive glasses.

Are Fry's pretty much the same between stores? There's a one in Anaheim which would be closer to me. Will check them out too.

I've had a projector setup in my other house, this was a couple years ago. I'm pretty set on front projection and now debating if I should do 3D or stick with 2D and save money for something else. Epson 5010 or Panasonic AE7000 for 3D will set me back $2500 or so (I need a long throw zoom lens, so the Epson 3010 and Optoma HD33 are out). Plus I'd need 2-4 pairs of 3D glass which could go as much as $400. So $2800-2900 for 3D setup. For 2D, Epson 8350 or Panasonic AR100U which are about $1200. I really wanna demo sports (basketball and/or football) in 3D. And a good 20-30 min of a action movie in 3D, just to see if the 3D makes me dizzy, demos at BB are about 3-4 min. on 55" screens). A 2hr movie on a 100+" screen will probably be different).

Keep the feedback coming. Feel free to comment on your thoughts of 3D as well. Home and movie theater. Thanks, all.
