You know you get 21 days to pay for it before the amount due starts increasing, right?

Can someone explain the CAI ticket? I realize a cop isn't going to know that's street legal, but I don't understand how they can just pop the hood. That's something where you need to consent or they need a warrant. I work for one of the largest LE agencies in the state and to the best of my knowledge(I'm not a cop), our officers don't do anything like that...and we're super money hungry, but we still don't look under hoods during traffic stops unless something's going on where there's an arrest or the drivers bein detained for some other reason.

As a military cop I'm fairly certain the hood inspection was conducted illegally unless you gave him permission!!!

I guess if you refused to open your hood and the cop was a real pr!ck, he could have your car impounded? Even if he didn't have grounds the impound fees could eat you up! We're walking a fine line here between our rights and this kinda situation....and why I have a CARB sticker. We never heard what the final outcome was with this?

I thought i just have to go to smog test place with the carb sticker. But apparently, i have to go to state referee, and get everything checked out including inspecting underneath car, and connecting wire to ECU.
Last time i went to the state referee, they refused to do smog test because my car is low -_-.. Any other smog places didn't have a problem with testing it in the past..
