Help...i got busted!
Lol, I guess that didnt work, pay for it and go on with your life. Fighing it is a hassle unless you have good grounds for fighting it.
If you fight it, only thing you can hope for is for the cop not to show up during your trial. If he doesnt the cop gets a 2nd chance, but if he dose your screwed.
You can take Probation or traffic school.

Your a couple of weeks late. I just went to traffic school on 1/15 and it sucked. I got nailed for speeding, no license plates front and back and tinted windows. The only up side is there were alot of hot chicks at traffic school.

what VC code did the officer write you up for, exactly? and what were the cross streets, time of day, road conditions and location of the officer when he spotted you?
Was radar involved? What were the exact comments written on the ticket? Did he mention and anything about traffic conditions, pedestrians etc...?
I might be able to help... just PM me. And next time, keep your mouth shut with the deputy. Just take the ticket with a somber face. By saying you had the runs, you have now admitted to the officer that you were in fact speeding. I'll see if the Basic Speed Law and road conditions will save your butt.

Here's my suggestion: (will help if you hadn't a major ticket before)
Go take a defensive driving course before your court date. Go to court and when you talk to the solicitor or prosecuter, tell him you understand why you were pulled over, and have taken it upon your own intiative to take a defensive driving course. When you do this, many prosecutors will normally reduce to the speed of the violation.
For example, I received a ticket on the in Atlanta for 93 in a 65 (28 over). Before my court date I took a defensive driving course and brought the defensive driving course certificate to court with me. The prosecutor reduced my ticket to 79 in a 65 (14 over). In the State of Georgia this is huge because a speeding violation of 14 or less are not considered moving violations and do not carry any points associated with them. Some insurance companies won't even find out about it unless there are points associated with it.
I have done this with 2 tickets and my insurance has not increased a dime because of it. And of course, when you go to court, go in looking professional. That means a suit, if you ask me. Don't go in with holes in your jeans or anything like that. Your manners and maturity go along way with traffic court prosecutors.

That's good advice. In SC I always went to court and each time, the officers met with all who were there for the tickets before court. They always offered to reduce the ticket to at least the next lower points offense. You still had to pay the fine, but it kept my points low enough that I did not lose my license.
