Hey Guys, my 06 OB Coupe has seen better days after sitting outside for 3+ years. Clear coat is going on the hood, roof, and trunk. Couple dings/dents. Was thinking about repairing and then repainting. Don't really want to spend half of the cars worth on a reparing/repainting but who knows, maybe I'll keep it for my son when he grows up . Any suggestions on places before I say screw it and take it to Maaco?

 

From my understanding MAACO can do quite well... Just as long your not expecting there $300 weekend special paint job. If you want a decent repair and paint, be ready to pay up.

 

Where do you live in Ca., and how far are you willing to drive? I have two paint shops that I've used, one does a good job that's in San Fernando and the other a great job located in Santa Clarita. (Magic Mountain area)

I've heard the same and I'm definitely looking into it. There are one or two around my area with pretty good scores.

Just got back from iDesigns in Ontario and they quoted me 3k for all bodywork and paint with a turn around time of 3wks or so. Here's the sad state that she's in.

 

mines about the same condition minus the dings and bumper being damaged , I got quoted about the same from a shop down the street from my house .. I also got quoted $1900 for a Avery Dennison wrap and warranty any color I want ..

Orange county collision and glass center in Fullerton! Just had bumper and hood done last month and I did not paid an arm and leg. Paint quality is phenomenal and comes with lifetime warranty.

ill get you the info , its a shop that does restoration for classics in the city of Paramount , zip is 90723 , ive seen the work they do so I know its quality ..

 

OC Collision quoted me around 4500 with pictures provided. May just bite the bullet at iDesigns at 3k. Going to go back tomorrow to get a hard estimate down on paper.
