Stupid Caltrans!

I'm driving south on the 15 between the 60 and 91 when I notice all this dust in the center median. It's a Caltrans pickup doing about 40 kicking up rocks and dirt, so I move from the inside lane to the middle lane to avoid the dust and rocks. Just as I get to the truck, something flies out from the median, misses the cars in the lane #1 and shoots across my front end and I hear it bouncing off my bumper. When I got home, not only did it chip the paint, it put a small gouge in my front bumper.

What types of claims can be filed?

Tort claims allege liability for damages caused by the state or its employees...

Typical Tort Claims Include:
Vehicle Damage (Personal Property)

Is Your Claim Against Caltrans?
If your claim is against Caltrans and the damages are for $5,000 or less, you can file your claim directly with Caltrans. Contact your local Caltrans office or visit www.dot.ca.gov to locate a Caltrans office near you.

You guys got nothing on me...

A jagged rock the size and shape of a tennis ball flew off the top of a truck on the freeway, bounced like a basketball, knicked my bumper on its way up, and slammed into my wiendshield.....yea my windshield. Luckily my hood was cleared and all I got was a screwed up lip, and scratched windshield.

These f u k s shouldn't be allowed to drive on the freeway.

Touch up will work wonders on that type of knick.

But you can still see the chip even with touch paint.
