7500 mile service interval question...thanks :)

Hi all, I've had my G for about 5 months...question...my g35 is about to hit 7500 miles and wanted to get your opinions if the service is really necessary? what else does the dealership do besides change the oil? i also want to get an idea of how much this will cost so i can be prepared to talk to the service manager so he wont rip me off just b'cuz im a girl. I posted in the General Coupe but didn't get much help from there and i came across the socal forum and so i figured i would post here. any help will be appreciated, Thanks!

If you know how to check your belts, hoses for cracks/leaks or what not, then just go in for the BASIC oil/filter change. They don't really do anything crazy at 7500 for the G's Except top off all fluids such as coolant (which you can check yourself), brake fluid, transmition fluid, etc.... On other cars they would've rotated your tires, but since that can't be done (for 05's atleast, dont know wheel sizes for 04's) Then its really an oil change/inspection/fluid top off. Check your fluid levels per manual, and if they are at thier levels, then I wouldn't bother with thier '7500' mile service and would just request basic oil change. Again, some people will argue that this is a luxury car and to treat it so, but I say a car is a car regardless of what you paid, just treat it as any other ride you want to last ya...

They'll definitely try to sell you on a "packaged" 7500 mile service. I do my own oil changes and check everything else myself. But I do want them to do the 7500 as long as it's in their record that I did in fact go in for that. They've gotta make some money too. Plus it'll be a good time to mention anything that's wrong w/ it and to have it fixed under warranty.
