SoCal in-car antenna Sirius reception

I'm out here in Riverside and I'm thinking of getting the OEM Sirius receiver (since the antenna sucks in my sedan and I can barely get any L.A. stations.)
Does anyone have a Sirius antenna installed inside on their back window or back deck?
I was wondering how the reception is - I'd rather not have to put it on the outside.
Thanks.

I'm in Florida and put my Sirius antenna on the back deck. I have the factory Sirius receiver. I frequently get the "acquaring" message on the deck.

I have the XM antenna for mt Honda Accord Coupe in the same location on the back deck and have had no problems with reception.

I don't know if I haven't grounded the Nissan Sirius receiver properly or if the window tint makes a difference, or if it is a problem with the antenna or the 1 into two splitter for the Nissan Sirius box.

I don't know if that helps you, but maybe someone will know.

window tint can effect the reception. especially of the radio since the antenna is in the rear window. you need to make sure to get a tint that doesn't have any metal in it. usually that tint is more expensive though.
