I remember hearing bout a company that can fix cracks while they are new and small before they spread, I have no idea how it works, but usually the only way is to replace it cause it spreads with heat/cold and will probably never retain the same strength in the case of future incidents...

I had a really small crack in my Maxima that I got fixed. It won't look new again, but it never spread. The guy did some drilling in the hole, then put some kind of glue in it. I think he charged me about $25. Guy was in San Pedro somewhere off the 110. I know he was good because there was a big rig there to get his windshield repaired and he said this was the second time he was fixing a crack in his windshield from this guy. He showed me the first one which was still small and he said it was over a year since he got it fixed.
