So Cal - Just installed DD Conversion! *PICS*
Ok so everyone posts when they have completed their stereo setups, so I wanted to share mine, though I know its been done before. It was a fun install, and I'm looking to upgrade it a lot further!
I just bought my 2005 IP Infiniti G35 6MT Coupe about a month ago. I ordered my DD kit from Yosi. He was awesome. It ran $408 shipped. I also ordered a Pioneer AVIC-D1. I bought from Ebay, new shipped to my door for $1120. I also needed to get the Scosche NN03 Nissan wiring harness, and the Nissan 2 prong antenna adapter.
As far as the install goes, I hooked up the pink speed sensor wire (to the white/green wire on the 10x2 harness behind the stock unit). I grounded the green parking brake wire (which allows me to use the functionality of the HU while driving). I left the purple Reverse sensor wire floating (since I won't hook up a backup camera).
Props to BlackonBlackG35 and others for paving the way and answering questions. For new installers I wouldn't recommend doing this yourself. If you have done it before, it's a fun project, much more complex than a standard HU in a normal car. Like BonBG35, I put the GPS antenna on the front right corner of the dash. I also had to sand down my trim piece to get it to fit right. Wasn't too bad.
Later I plan to replace all my speakers, add amps, subs, and a DVD changer. I am about to order my PAC SWI-PS so I can use my steering wheel controls. Will post on that when I've done it.
So here are the pictures of the install. Enjoy!

I dunno what the norm is. It does GPS, and is a really nice GPS unit if that is what you are interested in. It has all the same std head unit features. It has the cool screen with the gauges. You can measure acceleration in Gs, etc. It's pretty cool. I'm going to install a PAC SWI-PS soon to control it via my stereo.
