No, the worst stretch of freeway in Los Angeles is 405 from 101 to the 105. It's not even close. No where else is there consistent traffic from 6am until appx 1am. I live in SF Valley and have to take that stretch of road to my brothers house in Playa Del Rey. Saturday and Sunday afternoon at 4pm the drive takes over an hour to go 18 miles. Why is there freakin traffic at midnight?

Really, the standards for drivers licenses need to be MUCH more strict. I am going to scream if I wind up behind yet another retard doing 45 at 4am on the 405 north past the 105 in the fast lane.

The 91 going from OC into Riverside and the 60 past the 605 going east are also death.

ya.. 405 at the 101 is an absolute nightmare from any direction!

Also, the 55/73 to 405 is pretty bad at rush hour. But clears up by 7p.

110n downtown, get off and take surface streets.

How about the 110n to 5n... where you go thru the tunnels and then have to exit towards the left? Many idiots there!

For surface street, ya Rowland Heights, La Puente, West Covina area all around the 60 is horrendous. You can either go W or E on Colima, the 60 or Gail...but its all backed up. Too many people looking for a Ranch 99. At least their will be some bridges in the next year to minimize the train impact. My daughter used to get bussed to another school to take her Algebra class. They would pray for the train, because it would back up traffic and then their class would be cut short. Coming back, same thing. She wasted an hour each day on the bus getting to and from class with all the traffic.

When i go to work (rowland to Newport) at 5am, I get there in 30m. Leaving at 630, 1 hour. 7am, 2 hours. Coming home, gotta be gone by 2p, or I'm toast in traffic.

110N through downtown has you ALL beat. That 2 mile stretch right before the 5N (where all the tunnels start around doger stadium) takes about 45 minutes alone...(2 MILES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

But I can't complain, atleast I haven't been shot or shot at....yet

+1

The 110N to the 101 is pretty bad. Also the 10 to 710S because there is the exit to the 5 right after it.

The 405 is clear at 2-3 am when I come home from poker or Halo2 night.

I commute for work from SFV to the southbay every day, approx. 80-100 mile drive. YES **** THE 405!!, however lately it has been a losing battle between the 110 interchanges as well. You gotta love the ******* move to get on the 110N - 5N right at the end ..Im tempted to just get a damn bike! So if you see an '05 BS w/ Infiniti of TO plates smoking a bowl, that's probably me frustrated in traffic..again.

Tip for the 110 north to the 5 fwy.

Get on the 101 towards Los Angeles and exit at Broadway. Take Broadway north. Turn left on Alpine and then right on Hill. Get back on the 110 north and cruise in the fastest lane all the way to the onramp to the 5 north. Then merge into the onramp to the 5 at the last minute.

Or if stuff is really bad, exit the 101 at Broadway and go str8. Go to Alameda and turn left. Take Alameda to the 5. On Alameda, get into the right lane as often as possible as other drivers are stoopid and don't step on the gas when the lights turn green unless someone else goes first.

The 110 solution is to take Figueroa all the way up, then left on Wilshire, right on Alvarado all the way to 2N...

no one from other states should complain about traffic. La county/OC has everyone beat by FAR! try and find a manual car in La. Almost all are special order or have to be shipped form another dealership. INSANE! i couldnt find a 6sp 330i (bmw) in all of Ca. Found one in Washington. Now thats when you know traffic is bad

Can't remember exactly what day it was last week...I think Thurs or Friday...it took me almost 4 hours to get from Phillips Ranch (where 60 & 71 meet) to Buena Park (where 5 & 91 meet). Its supposed to be a 22-23 mile, 30-40 minute commute w/ the usual traffic.

Apparently, something happened near Diamond Bar, where 60 & 57 cross. It took me almost 45 minutes just to get from one exit (Phillips Ranch) to the next (Diamond Bar)!!!

I usually take 60W-57S-91W-5N....well, this particularly HOT day, I had to take 60W-Diamond Bar Blvd-Golden Springs-Grand-71S-91W...huge, I mean HUGE waste of time & gas & mileage (I'm on a lease)!

Times like these, I really contemplate leaving Southern CA...thank goodness for the 6-disc changer ^-^
