1st year anniversary coming up!!! need a restaurant!!!
One more vote for Orange Hill. Get there about an hour B4 your dinner reservation and go sit in the patio by the fire pits and have your appetizer/drinks out there then after dinner go back out there for dessert/drink/stogie/BJ.
here's a few good ones:
+1 for C+O Trattoria in Venice. . .good food and fun ambiance and not too pricey. . .
+1 for the Chart House in Dana Point too. . .but I live 2 minutes away from there and go there too often. (LOL)
I ate at the Ritz Carlton on PCH before too. . .it was major-waitors-nose-so-far-up-yer-hiney-he-can-smell-the-food-for-you, but they closed that place. . .now they have a cool restaurant called Restaurant 162'. Looks darn nice. . .but I've never been there.
But. . .if you want THEEEEE BEST. . .view, food, not super expensive, go to Splashes (yes, click me) in Laguna Beach (@ surf and sand hotel), and request the "downstairs." You sit on the beach behind a glass wall, and if the tide is coming in, it's literally 10 feet away. Plus the food is damn good. You're guaranteed to impress if you go there.
good luck, boss!

Orange Hill is O.K. The Beach House in Laguna Beach would b pretty cool. Try to get there around Sunset. Do some research when Sunset time will be and plan accordingly. After that take a cruise north up the coast, make a left on Jamboree/Promontory Point, go into Balboa Island and take the Ferry across to Newport.
P.S. It works every time.......

most those places are good. Mortons is awesome and very pricey, and worth it. Ruth's chris, pricey but worth it again. the other places seem too casual. If your in the La Area I HIGHLY suggest Katana on sunset strip. all sorts of food. steak, chicken, sushi etc. japanese hint to it. awesome place. $$ but not THAT insane. highly recomend it to all. look into it
whoa! now a list of places to go for special occasions. sweet!!! i really appreciate evertything fellas but i finally picked and had a reservation at splashes in laguna beach. it got good reviews plus my girl loves laguna beach. thanx again!
