I live in chatsworth (san fernando valley). the fire is on the eastern side of topanga canyon, and about ten blocks from my house, but luckily only one house has been burned so far. there were huge fires in simi valley in 2003 and the fires came 20 feet away from a few of my friends houses, but the fire fighters seemed to keep the fires at bay when they needed to most. those guys = serious pros.
i go to school at santa monica and i can see the smoke clouds from there!

I heard about CSUN being evacuated today.

Can you believe that they were saying that they had 3000 firefighters on the scene at one time fighting the fire, however they were only able to work on 5 percent of the fire that was burning?... some serious ****

Great Idea!

I say we do a GTG in the valley off the 101 freeway!
Bring your old OEM parts. We'll have a bon fire!

I read that smog in the air takes away 15 horsepower to your rear wheels. Looks like us SoCal heads are out of luck.
