I was coming back from a cute little date today at Dockweiler Beach. Imperial Hwy and Supelveda. I saw 4 lights coming up behind me. pulled up next to me and we just start messing around a little. we started to go from a roll but had to stop at the coming light. At the light we both knew it was on. I knew he would take me from the dig until about 60, but I had an amazing launch and his probably wasnt as good, b/c i was at his bumper the whole way through and at about 100 i started pulling on him but had to sotp b/c of traffic. The car was actually pretty quick. He knew i started to pull and backed off. I was pretty impressed w/ my driving. I talked to him at the next light, really cool guy. Said he had exhaust, intake, and intercooler upgrade and a few other small stuff. Def had a really loud BOV. I was pretty happy that I did pretty well against a car that had more mods than me and had AWD launch. I also had a passenger, a light one at that, but still had a slight disadvantage. not too shabby I must admit...hehe

That's pretty impressive man...I know the stock WRX is faster than the G...keeping up with a modded one, you're a good driver.

The STI would have ate you for breakfast though.

off the line, for sure STI woulda killed me. i raced an STi w/ exhaust from a roll once. he pulled about 1/4 of a car on me i was at his rear bumper or something. and didnt move from there on. stopped b4 120 where i know the G has some good power

Very nice! One of my best friends has a modded WRX. Hes had it for about a year longer than I've had my G, so he's had a head start on the mods. I just want to make sure I'll be able to be stuck at his side the whole way down. Either way... even if his car is faster, I know mine looks sexier

In a year or two, he'll be driving his car back to southern California, and hopefully by then, I'll be able to pass him up

ya of course the G is much sexier, and in this case, much louder too. i couldnt hear his exhaust over mine, which is always a good thing so he knows the whole time im there...hehe

it had a big *** hood scoop like the STI. i asked him but he said it was a regular. i mean that scoop is pretty noticeable, but had the non- sti wing. i dnno. from a dig it was close, and after that i kept pulling him in and he cut off...sad

after 60 they start losing it..a stock g should take a stock wrx, i would think an auto would take a stock wrx too...well not 0-60 but after that id think it would be all g

There's no possible way you can call a Stocker WRX with a couple of Mod's slow.

No way Bro, those things are FASTTTT, ugly as hell rice box, but fast.
They 0-60 is identical to the Coupe, and lighter. Not to mention, a couple of light mods really up the speed on those, it's not like the G. Boost controller, exhaust, downpipe, chip, they'll smoke a lotta shT on the road.

All wheel drive, find a good driver on those, launch sick on you. As I said, Papa is just a better driver than the Subaru, and the Subie still got ahead...at least in the begginning.

yea the car is extremely mod friendly, i wouldnt call it a rice rocket tho....id call civics, integras, etc. rice rockets...a wrx is a little classier than them...but its not exactly a maybach either

Mike Trust me. If it aint a STI its slow. I beat the crap out of em when i got to LACR. now the STI, its fast and with lil mods its even faster.

but w/e the car was off the line it was quick but then died down, so im assuming it was a impreza wrx w/ mods, which seemed to help him quite a bit. im pretty much stock too, exhaust ztube n all. gives me like .5 hp since the VQ's are very mod friendly.

I think the most cost effective bang for you buck mod is some Nitrous.

But I would never have the ***** to put that on my car.
