each hotel's website.

BTW, if people say they can hook you up for free or discount at a Vegas hotel, it is almost always untrue. Casinos comp players based on their play, and usually only the player them selves. Their guest may be comped meals.

Also, I have found people to be highly untruthful about the amounts of money they gamble. You cannot be comped at higher end Vegas hotels without putting a considerable amount of money in play.

So you have picked a very expensive weekend to go. Even Buffalo Bills is $80.

After a quick search for Saturday night, I found San Remo for $105, Sahara for $175, Frontier for $160, and all mid strip 3 star places and up are $250 or more for the night.

You can try any of the above at the last minute and also priceline.com

I have actually had a TON of success getting last minute rooms at Harrahs when they were supposedly sold out. They have a huge hotel and most of their guests fly in from the midwest. So they have lots of last minute cancellations and sell rooms 1-2 days in advance at discounted prices on expedia.

I got a room there on a convention/holiday weekend for an average of $62 a night earlier this year for a Thurs-Monday stay. I also got a weekday room last weekend(Thurs night) for $45 by waiting until 2 days before I left to book.

What kind of clubs, what budget, and what do you want? Bottle service, GA, etc?

Stay in the Carnival Tower if you can. But nothing wrong with Harrahs except their BJ rules suck. Nothing says you need to give them action.

Harrahs is nothing special, but is clean and such. It's rooms are definitely a cut above a ton of other strip hotels including Trop, Excalibur, Circus Circus, Stardust, Frontier, Sahara, Stratosphere, Barbary Coast, Imperial Palace, Riviera, and Boardwalk.

Just don't touch anything in the mini bar as stuff is weighted and is immediately charged to your room.

Bonus if you stay at the Trop: You get to pick the odor of your hall! Choose from urine, feet, musty smokey carpet, and general fart smell.

Imperial Palace is $140 on Saturday night via Vegas.com. With taxes and fees it totals $160(Vegas has a 11% room tax). I don't know how Vegas.com is doing it because IP normally does not allow Saturday arrivals.

Cheapest rate on the strip I have found so far.

IP is not a nice place. However, it has relatively cheap BJ and other gaming. It also offers a Karoake bar up front that is kinda cool. It's location, at mid strip across from Cesars and Mirage, and a hop, skip and jump from Venetian, Bellagio, and TI cannot be beat.

Like i said, its not that nice, and the rooms are in no way worth $140 a night, but neither are Monte Carlos worth $230.

Or you could wait until Veterans day weekend like me. My room downtown(appx comparable to IP rooms, but much larger) is going to be $216 total for 3 nights. Rowdier crowd, the women aren't quite as attractive, and there aren't any pirates, tigers, lava flows, and gambling I can't afford.

But downtown, there is an overabundance of cheap food, cheap alcohol, cheap women, cheap gambling(BJ as low as $3 and craps as well as low as $3), and live music. Plus, my $2K gambling bankroll gets noticed here. So does my G. And to me, thats what Vegas is all about.

I usually recommend IP to those on a budget in town for a weekend. The rates are comparably dirty cheap, and it's not like you go there at ANY time other than to sleep. Venetian, Bellagio, Caesar's, etc. are right there, as you said.
